How long in advance should I book an Artist?
The sooner the better! For big holidays, most performers get booked months ahead. To make sure you get the entertainer you want for the date(s) you want. Call as soon at there is a set date and estimation of guests.
Do you always dress as a clown?
No, we only dress as clowns/characters upon request. (We will not do any Trademarked or copyrighted characters.) Normally we show up business goofy. Like business casual, just a little more fun, bright and colorful. Sometimes if it's a themed party, we may coordinate but not guaranteed. Point is, we wont have extravagant outfits, red noses, big shoes or tons of face paint on with regular bookings, you must specify you want a clown.
Clowning is an art form entirely its own and if you're intertest in learning the history of clowning, we encourage you to look into it. Clowns will have a variety of talents to include in their act. This doesn't mean every clown will know how to face paint, juggle, ride a unicycle, or do balloons. Every clown is different.
How do I know how long to book an artist for?
Great Question! For face painting and balloons you should assume 1 hour for every 15 guests participating. So lets say if you're booking a birthday party and you have 30 kids getting face painted, you'd want, at minimum, to book 2 hours with that performer. Live painters will adapt to the time allowed to create a piece, the longer booked, the more intricate/detailed the art. For clowns/characters, if doing an act for an audience, 30 minutes is plenty but we could go up to an hour for private parties (Any longer and it might be too long unless you have rotating guests). If you want a roaming clown, well then the same rule of 1 hour for every 15 guests apply so everyone can interact and get the full experience.
What discounts do you offer?
It doesn't hurt to ask! We want to work with our community to spread happiness and joy wherever we can. Let us know your constraints and we'll try our best to work with you. Discounts are always available for Military families/establishments, Schools, Churches/Religious establishments, Children Hospitals and Fundraising events.
Why do you charge what you charge?
We try our very best to work with your budget, and our prices are low compared to other professional entertainers out there. Yeah we may only be at your event for an hour, but we also spend about an hour or more on sanitizing, prepping, and organizing our supplies/stations. Materials are expensive to get and keep up on (we don't use the cheap stuff). We are all insured performers. We drive too and from events which could be 30 minutes, an hour or more and gas prices have only been rising. Also, we spend so much time practicing and developing our skills over the years to give the best experience we can. We are NOT the cheap thrown together last minute entertainers, we take pride and joy in what we do and we take it seriously. We want to make a good lasting impression for you and your guests. We want to hear you laughing and see your smiles. We are quality over quantity.
